Linking text to another page or web site

This document describes how to link a text on one page, so that when the visitor clicks on it, it will take you to another page on your web site, orr to a new web site.

You know, something like: click here to view my links!
Or, don't you think that Trellix is great?


1. Open up your Trellix file and display the page which contains the text you wish to use to link to another page, and highlight the text with your mouse (as if you were going to cut/copy the text)

2. Right click on the highlighted text

3. If you wish to link to another page on YOUR web site:

Click on 'Link to a page using' -> Selection
A chain link symbol appears next to your cursor.
Move your cursor up into the MAP area of your Trellix file, and click on the page you wish to link to (be displayed when the user clicks on the button)

4. If you wish to link to a page on another web site:

Click on 'Create Link to Url or File...'
Link window appears, with entry field pre-filled with "http://"
Click in the entry field and add the name of the site you wish to link to.
For example: http://www.trellix.com
Click OK

5. Publish and check out the results
